Fine Art
My interest in art began in childhood. Oil, water color, egg tempera and sumi ink are all in my toolkit. I am trained as a lithographic artist by the Master Printers of Tamarind Institute. I draw and experiment with other media.
The media I use suggests a variety of styles. Color is thrilling to work with, either by using a limited palette or working with a full spectrum of color.
Figurative art evokes contemplation about the human condition. There are many psychological and aesthetic possibilities to explore.
I seek to create art that is both open to interpretation and challenging. The viewer's response is an opportunity to reflect on the viewer's own perspective.
